Client Challenge

Synthite Industries, with over five decades of experience in organic extraction, faced the challenge of integrating IoT and analytics to enhance their operations. As they created the world's largest turmeric extraction plant, optimizing yield and minimizing wastage through data-driven insights became a pressing concern. They were navigating the intricacies of continuous solvent-based extraction at an unprecedented scale, looking for innovative solutions that could deliver tangible value.

Our Approach

We were privileged to be engaged right from the plant's commissioning stage. This early involvement facilitated site visits and in-depth discussions with chemical engineers, instrumentation and QC specialists, and key business stakeholders. These invaluable interactions granted us a holistic grasp of the entire process.

Our methodical, phased approach to the IoT project encompassed integrating every PLC and sensor with cloud storage. This ensured that our data maturity evolved alongside the plant's development. The subsequent phase, focusing on AI and analytics, was wholly dedicated to gleaning insights, hindsight, and foresight pivotal for process refinement, production augmentation, and strategic business decisions. Our overarching goal was to leverage data to meticulously calibrate and enhance the entire operation.
